Well, it is simple; I have had many experiences over the last 5 years of dealing with the property market for purchase and holiday lets in Greece. Over that period I have bought two properties for myself.
One purchase became a complete nightmare and could have been a complete disaster. (It was for some of my potential neighbours). Three years on, still many issues not resolved.
The second, was generally a smooth transaction, with some minor issues, which I can laugh about - You have got to have a good sense of humour to enjoy Greece to its full potential this has enabled me to learn about the purchasing system in Greece. I have been able to gain valuable experience and knowledge from my contact with developers, builders, lawyers, estate agents, banks etc.

Before buying a property overseas, you will need to purchase currency to pay for the property. There are two options available when purchasing and transferring currency – you can use your bank or take our recommendation and use the services of a specialist currency exchange provider.
